Results with ENBREL in Moderate to Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

ENBREL can help you manage your rheumatoid arthritis symptoms by reducing the pain, stiffness, and fatigue of the disease. It can also help keep joint damage from getting worse. In an RA clinical study, 55% of patients who remained on ENBREL had no further progression of joint damage at 5 years. In other clinical studies, ENBREL was shown to be effective in about 2 out of 3 adults with moderate to severe RA who used it.

Clinical experience and proven results

ENBREL was the first medicine of its kind approved for moderate to severe RA. ENBREL is the #1 prescribed biologic by rheumatologists.*

Stay the course

Everyone responds to medications differently, so it might be difficult for your doctor to say precisely when you may see results with ENBREL. Even when you can't see what's happening, ENBREL can be working to help stop further joint damage. Some patients treated with ENBREL in combination with methotrexate have had improvement in their symptoms in as little as 2 weeks. Most people who improved did so within 3 months, and among those who improved, some had additional improvement at 6 months. Your results may vary.

If you stay the course with your doctor's treatment plan and ENBREL, and take your medication regularly as prescribed, you may be able to manage your symptoms and continue your routine with less pain from RA. If you have trouble remembering to take your injections, ask your doctor for suggestions to help keep you on track.

Because ENBREL works on the immune system, it can lower the ability of your immune system to fight infections and may raise other safety concerns. Please see Prescribing Information, Important Safety Information, and Medication Guide for complete details about ENBREL.
